The Department of Counseling
I feel fortunate to be a faculty member in the Department of Counseling at The University of Texas at San Antonio. With a vision statement that promotes the ideals of creativity, diversity, and relational development, the faculty is committed to providing our students with the skills, knowledge, and experiences that can position them to provide quality counseling and consultation services in diverse settings. Our faculty are seasoned counselors and counselor educators with a broad range of clinical, academic, and supervisory experiences. In conjunction with training future counselors, we are also dedicated to the practical application of counseling in private practice, consulting with and offering supervision to clinicians in area agencies, providing treatment in hospitals, and serving as leaders in state, national and international associations.
